In this life, a heart can be broken into pieces. We have found one Author to help bring together the pieces of the heart and to give light and understanding to the abundance of love in the universe. I have personally had the pleasure to speak with him, and look forward to many more conversations. His conduit to the language of the heart is here within his writings, his books, his poems…
These featured books are all by James P. Robson. They have what I believe to be endless wisdom in Love and connection with God. You will gather some insight, and from one avid reader to another, these are must-reads and must-haves in your library. I find them best to share with searching and hurt souls, and if you have children, have these on the ready.
Life is not easy, nor was it meant to be, but I find true happiness in finding resources that can help you connect to the Love that is there for us all.
1: The Music of the Heart
First, this was written over a period of thirty years. This collection of poetry is a result of conversations the author had with himself or thoughts that surfaced during periods of sleep and relaxation. then some were even inspired by the author’s granddaughters over time as he observed their young lives evolving. Thus, written as a personal diary, these poems serve as a reminder of identity and awareness.
What guides our mind guides our life.
The human mind is a powerful and amazing gift, but it must be guided by the heart. Learning this is a process that requires discipline, focus, trial and error, and a blending of the heart and mind. Hopefully, some of the ideas conveyed in these poems will open other’s hearts and bring strength and encouragement.
2: The Spirit of the Heart
Once you get through the powerful first book, you will literally want to go from the end of “The Music of the Heart” to “The Spirit of the Heart” in a single swipe and click. Here are some statements from the Author himself…
“The Spirit of the Heart is a collection of poems with most written during late 2012 through mid-2013. Each of them resulted from personal thoughts and experiences and from studying God’s Word. Before writing down these words, I processed them through my heart to be blessed by the Holy Spirit. With the Holy Spirit dwelling in the human heart, the heart opens up to the Truth of being. It takes practice, patience and faith to hear and understand as the Holy Spirit responds, conveys, and directs the Truth through the magic of the heart.”
The strength of this book starts from the author’s Introduction and his analogy of going “all in”. This is so powerful because it is not until you go truly “all in” on anything that you can truly succeed. Nothing done half way is done completely.
3: The Inner Voice of the Heart
“The Inner Voice of the Heart” is a collection of poems written before the Strength of the Heart. This book was written from late 2008 through mid-2012. First he focused on the love and power of the Holy Spirit. Thus, each of these poems resulted from the author’s personal thoughts and experiences. Also, from reading God’s Word and listening to the inner voice of the heart, which opens up the Truth of being. It takes practice, patience, and faith to hear and understand as the Holy Spirit responds, conveys, and directs Truth through the magic of the heart. The author’s hope is that each reader will use these poems as a guide and a catalyst to gain insight into the power and love of the Holy Spirit. Who, we know, was sent as a Comforter by the love and grace of Jesus Christ.
4: The Gift of the Heart
“The Gift of the Heart” is notably more personal to the author, and that seems to be a year of great reflection for him. He states that this was a year when writing served as a Journal or Diary in which he is documenting the Holy Spirit at work in his life. The workings of the Holy Spirit in our everyday lives, let alone our blessed years upon this earth, are truly amazing.
The author wrote this collection of poems mostly during late 2013 through mid-2014. Each of them resulted from personal thoughts and experiences and from studying God’s Word. The gift he writes of is the Holy Spirit dwelling in the human heart. Within this dwelling, the heart opens up to the truth of being. It takes practice, patience, and faith to hear and understand as the Holy Spirit responds, conveys, and directs the truth through the gift of the heart.
5: The Mission of the Heart
“The Mission of the Heart” is the author’s fifth book and includes poetry written during late 2014 through mid-2015. The thoughts conveyed in these poems are personal, and their reproduction in this book is primarily intended to convey concepts of truth, which can be of benefit to others by enlightening us as to the purpose of the heart. Some subjects and truths require research and study, so these short poems are intended as food for thought and further study and investigation by the reader.
According to the author, although the human mind can develop a thirst for knowledge and wisdom. The process of storing and applying such knowledge and wisdom can be understood best in small doses. Life on earth is a lengthy process of self-development. It requires both study and active application in a continuous stream in order to advance both physically and spiritually. The learning process is unending, and many of the most important lessons come through trial and tribulation.
Personal Development is key
As we develop ourselves, we learn how to blend and merge together our faith, our mental capacity, and our loving nature becoming believers and disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are each challenged by our assignments, yet blessed with the inner strength of the indwelling Christ. We must, therefore, embrace this unique indwelling presence, which makes all good things truly possible!
Why is the word Heart so important?
6: The Love of the Heart
This book contains poems written during late 2015 through mid-2016. Like his previous five books, the title includes the word “Heart.” The author chose this word because it serves our minds as a filtering device that is capable of purifying our thoughts. With our gift of free choice we can learn to employ our heart to cleanse and focus our thoughts constructively while adding a large dose of love and mutual respect.
From a spiritual viewpoint, the mind desires to be plugged in so it can be connected to the indwelling spirit. When we enter into the spiritual kingdom God brings us to himself where we can love and where we can put our life and belief in something that will last. The poems in this book can be read in any order the reader chooses. Each poem is a stand-alone glimpse through a moment in time as observed by the author. His hope is that each of us can learn to love one another, as God has loved us.
7: The Glory of the Heart
This seventh book explores and surrounds the heart, beginning with music’s universal rhythm and heartbeat to the full glory and majesty of reaching the end zone, where God’s essence is on full display. The author’s hope is that his words will provide insight into both the heart and the mind. How they function in concert to fulfill God’s will. The ideas inscribed in his many writings represent his determination to connect with the Lord Jesus Christ. There, we all can find both rest and the knowledge of who we are. Practice makes perfect. With patience and determination, our search will lead to the treasure. The treasure that confirms who we are and enables us to understand our Christian identity.
8: The Intuitive Wisdom of the Heart
“The Intuitive Wisdom of the Heart” is the author’s eighth book, containing poems about life and the human heart. The heart is misunderstood by many. Yet is an intuitive and wisdom-based organ that functions as the chief administrator of mankind. Over many years, the author has discovered that our primary purpose. That purpose in life is to discover our authentic selves, who we really are. We need to identify with ourselves and embark on a journey of self-discovery. The question of who we are lingers. Our curiosity continues to confront us. Our need to answer this question intensifies. This book endeavors to address this innate and burning drive we all have to discover ourselves spiritually.
9: The Jubilation of the Heart
When the author began writing over forty years ago, he focused on the heart. Although he did not fully comprehend what he was going to discover, the more his mind focused on the heart the more he realized why the Lord Almighty placed it in the center of all human and spiritual activity. Each human being learns early in life that their ongoing existence depends on and is sustained by their beating heart. Although we can’t directly see our hearts, we know that it beats inside our chest and continues to repeat its perpetual beat without our direct assistance. This miracle of creation stimulated his curiosity and led him to explore in greater depth the majesty of the heart, which transcends into our spiritual world.
Our Lives are just temporary learning periods
Our temporal bodies can be view as shells covering and protecting our spiritual inner beings. Being temporary, God had provided numerous gifts or tools to aid us in our self-discovery process. Our main assignment or purpose in life’s human form is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. It is my hope and prayer that the thoughts conveyed in my poems will be an aid to expand understanding by encouraging a strong desire to seek and to claim Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and to spread the truth to others in your sphere of influence.
These books mastered by James P. Robson can be read sequentially or one-by-one. They bring together the pieces of the heart: music, spirit, inner voice, gift, mission, love, glory, intuitive wisdom, and jubilation. In the end, they are a wonderful addition to any library and a solid guide through this life. Consequently, they feed our inherent drive and need to connect with amazing Love and Wisdom .That Love and Wisdom that is made available to us all through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
